This will be the page where we'll talk about the band. But in the meantime…
(A little history about the band for some context and background): 3 years ago (April 2022), we came together and recorded our first project. An 8 track (15min) live performance experimental punk record, that we recorded a la a “Multimedia Mixtape” live performance shoot. In which we hung up and displayed a whole room full of local, original, artwork from 10+ visual artists (including myself, the first time I ever showcased my visual art). We then wrote and recorded the whole album in just one 3hr recording session.
We spent the next 2 years tinkering and experimenting. We played shows, made some merch, wrote more music, recorded our first studio EP (MyScreamingHeart, 2023), solidified our band members, and really tried to figure out what this project is and what we wanted to do with it.
Last year (2024), things really start to click, and our budding band really started to blossom. We released our 2nd studio EP (Eye Heart Myself) in February (almost at our 1yr anniversary of that one!), and at the end of May, we put on our first show. Before then, we were just saying “yes” to friends asking us to jump on a bill. But from May-November we had our own little residency and put on what we called “The Tune Up” Series.
We ran 6 shows with 15+ bands, and continued to tweak and experiment on what we wanted to do with our events and live performances. We had local vendors (including ourselves), themed shows, incorporated a community jam section, seamless transitions between acts, and my personal favorite addition, live painters. I’ve always loved the idea of live painting and interplay between visual art and music, and it was truly special to have that happen with this Project.
This year (2025) we plan to build on all our work put in thus far. We’re planning our first DIY tour (East Coast Tour), we’re putting together our next residency show series (a spring and a fall 3 month series), and hopefully will get back in the studio to record our next project at the end of the year, and hopefully put on our BIG SHOWCASE (stay tuned).
